Going to bed lonely is physiologically bad for your health
I was reminded of this today by my friend Rachel.
Cortisol levels generally peak in the morning between 6 and 8:30 AM anyway, but that peak is even higher for lonely people. This hormone can actually damage memory cells in the hippocampi.
Am I promoting sex? Not exactly, but dammit, we humans need each other.
